Turning Rejection into Resilience!

Founders can neglect these emotions.

Hey ,

Have you dealt with any rejections?

Seems a stupid questions to us founders, isn’t it?

We, founders, often face it in various forms—be it through funding denials, partnership withdrawals, customer rejections, or internal team challenges.

The right question is: “How do you deal with so many rejections?”

Well, most founders fail to address these strong emotions, which impacts them adversely in every aspect of professional and personal life.

How? Well, there’s an entire list (and more):

Firstly, I’m aware that you already know this, but still: Rejections are signs of failure but a stepping stone to success.

Now, I’m no expert myself but I learned these 6 things from my mentor who not only built a successful business but has achieved happiness.

Sharing those lessons with you guys:

  1. Reflect, Don’t React: Take time to feel and then thoughtfully analyse rejections. Use these insights to refine your approach or product.

  2. Seek Constructive Feedback: After facing rejection, proactively seek feedback to understand the reasons behind the 'no'. Use this critical insight to refine your business model, pitch, or product features.

  3. Build Emotional Resilience: Regularly participate in stress-relief activities like exercise or mindfulness to maintain a positive outlook.

  4. Cultivate a Support Network: Build and maintain a network of peers and mentors who understand the unique challenges of entrepreneurship.

  5. Set Realistic Expectations: Balance optimism with realism to better handle rejections as part of your entrepreneurial growth.

  6. Focus on Controllable Aspects: Direct your energy towards factors you can control, such as your response to feedback, your dedication to your work, and the positivity of your outlook.

These tips have personally helped me and I hope they help you as well.

However, a secret ancient practice helped me even more in coping rejections and beyond:

Kirtan Kriya

This practice involves singing, movement, and meditation to bring about profound changes in the brain, enhancing focus, reducing stress, and fostering emotional balance.
