Emotions in Control = Super Power Unlocked

It's the key to success.

Hey ,

Every founder knows this daily struggle very well: daily rejections from investors, suppliers, customers, and even team members.

Does this really affect us?

These constant NO can start to take a toll on our emotions, affecting our performance, energy, decision-making, and more.

Managing these emotions is crucial because they impact both our personal and professional life.

Emotions are powerful drivers of behavior, but how severe it can be?

When left unchecked, negative emotions like frustration, anger, and despair can cloud your judgment, drain your energy, and lead to poor decision-making.

And this not only hampers your professional life but also spills over into your personal life, affecting your relationships and overall well-being.

But what if you are champion at controlling your emotions?

AI is getting better and better with images.

Sticking to our chatter, here are some practical and lesser-known tips from founder to founder to control your emotions even better:

  1. Practice Mindful Breathing: Simple yet powerful, mindful breathing can help you stay grounded and calm in stressful situations. Try the 4-7-8 technique: inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and exhale for 8 seconds.

  2. Scheduled Emotional Check-Ins: Set aside a few minutes each day to reflect on your emotional state. Acknowledge your feelings without judgment and understand their triggers.

  3. Create an Emotional Safe Space: Designate a physical or mental space where you can retreat when feeling overwhelmed. This could be a quiet corner of your office or a visualization exercise that transports you to a calm place.

  4. Physical Activity: Regular exercise releases endorphins, which are natural mood lifters. Even a short walk or stretching session can make a significant difference.

  5. Journaling: Writing down your thoughts and feelings can help you process and manage them better. It's also a great way to track emotional patterns and triggers.

Well, we founders just don’t get satisfied until we maximize on every positive aspect.

I knew that, and hence I’m sharing a very ancient and lesser-known practice from the deep realms of ancient yogic culture.

Brace yourselves, just kidding :)

Inner Space Meditation or Chidakasha Dharana

This ancient practice helps you focus inward, creating a sense of inner peace and clarity.

Now how to perform this gem of a practice?

Most easy guide for you to start right away:

  1. Find a Quiet Space: Sit comfortably in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed.

  2. Close Your Eyes: Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to center yourself.

  3. Visualize the Inner Space: Imagine a dark, vast space behind your closed eyes. This is your inner space, or Chidakasha.

  4. Focus on the Space: Gently focus your attention on this space. If thoughts arise, acknowledge them and let them pass without attachment.

  5. Stay Present: Continue to observe this inner space. Over time, you will notice a sense of calm and clarity emerging.

This practice is literally a cheat code to manage your life well.

Emotional control is not just a personal advantage but a professional necessity for us, founders.
